As a second-generation Italian American, Michelle's roots in Princeton trace back over a century. Her family emigrated from Pettoranello, Italy, and contributed to the construction of Princeton University as skilled stone masons and gardeners. As the child of immigrants, Michelle feels a strong commitment to helping the less fortunate access the same opportunities her parents and grandparents sacrificed for. She is driven by a desire to maintain economic diversity in our region and holds steadfast Democratic values that prioritize fairness and social equity. A pragmatic thinker, Michelle believes that fostering economic growth through community investment creates opportunities that help preserve our socio-economic diversity.

Her life experiences have taken her across the United States and around the globe, living on both the East and West Coasts, as well as in Mexico, Europe, and the Middle East. This global perspective shapes her vision of what our town can achieve. Her family's influence plays a vital role in her decision to serve, underscoring the importance of familial support in a successful public service career.

Before venturing into public service, Michelle built a career as an entrepreneur, launching multiple small businesses, some of which operated internationally. Her entrepreneurial journey includes organizing national festivals with hundreds of vendors, collaborating with both government and private sectors, launching new products in Mexico, and establishing a retail store in Florida. She has successfully secured six-figure sponsorships, negotiated infrastructure contracts, and developed extensive promotional campaigns. These ventures have not only given her experience managing multi-million dollar budgets but have also enhanced her negotiation and management skills, fostering a collaborative and creative approach. Her entrepreneurial background brings valuable insights to her work on the Council, allowing her to bridge the gap between diverse stakeholders and find common ground amidst competing interests.
